allows one to test the new upas
before it becomes the default,
given an appropriate installation
of
.IR Nupas .
To enable parallel installation of
the new and old versions, modify
.B /sys/src/cmd/upas/mkupas
to install in
.B /$\f2objtype\f5/bin/nupas

Typically 
.I usenupas
should be sourced from
.B /usr/\f2user\f5/lib/profile
after one's mailbox has been converted
to
.IR mdir (6)
format.
