contrindx, whatsnewwiki \- automatically update wiki pages

.I Contrindx
mounts the file and wiki services from
.IR sources.cs.bell-labs.com ,
examines the
.I /contrib
directory, and updates the page
.I contrib_index
on the wiki. For each user with a directory in
.IR /contrib ,
as well as for the
.I /extra
directory, the script will add a section listing the first 16 lines of
a README file, if it exists, followed by a summary of the contents
of the user's contrib directory generated by looking at INDEX
files in the user's directory and one level of subdirectories. INDEX
file lines are expected to have a relative path to a file or directory,
followed by a colon and a tab, followed by a human-readable
description of the package.
For user directories, the script will then list any packages found
in the
.I contrib
package system, with their descriptions.

The script is run nightly on
.I 9srv.net
to regenerate the contrib index on
.IR sources.cs.bell-labs.com .
.PP
.I Whatsnewwiki
behaves similarly, updating the
.I what's_new
page on the wiki with a list of recently updated pages.
.SH BUGS
The current
.I what's_new
page is maintained by another server, which may behave
differently than what is described here.
